Cupping is a therapeutic method in which a jar or a cup is attached to the skin surface to cause local congestion though the negative heat in the form of an ignited material. This method serves to promote circulation to qi and blood, to induce manlgesic effect, to subdue swelling, and to expel wind and cold and damp pathogens.

The indications of cupping method include arthritis due to wind-cold-dampness, acute sprain, facial paralysis, hemeplegia, common cold, cough stomach ache, abdominal pain, furuncle, carbuncle, deep-rooted carbuncle and ulcer which are at the early stage ect.
